Day 01
ARRIVAL IN JAISALMER, EVENING AT LEISURE
- Arrival at Jaisalmer Airport / Station and transfer to hotel. On arrival check-in to your hotel, freshen up
and rest a while. Evening you can take a leisurely walk into the Jaisalmer fort followed by visit to Gadisar
lake. By late evening back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Jaisalmer Fort, An UNESCO heritage site, it is the only living fort in the world. It is called a living fort,
because unlike other forts that were converted into luxury hotels or were abandoned, the Jaisalmer Fort
is standing tall till today with descendants from early inhabitants of this twelfth-century marvel reside
inside the Fort. Vibrant streets and alleys within the fort is full of colourful shops of handicrafts.
The Gadisar Lake, A man-made water reservoir, was once the only source of water in Jaisalmer.
Constructed by the first ruler of Jaisalmer, Raja Rawal Jaisal, it is surrounded by temples and ghats
(banks). One can spend some peaceful time at sunset in the serene surroundings of the lake or choose
to go boating as well.
Day 02
JAISALMER SIGHTSEEING
- After breakfast visit the Jaisalmer Fort best known as Golden Fort or Sonar Kella. After that visit Patwon-
ki-haveli, Nathalie-ki-haveli. Salim singh-ki-Haveli. After that also can visit Gadishar Lake. In evening
proceed for camel ride on Sam Sand Dunes & you can experience the spectacular view of Sun set in Thar
desert. Dinner & Overnight stay at Jaisalmer. (Optional Experience at Extra Cost: A night in camp in
desert, including cultural Rajasthani show and dinner.)
Day 03
JAISALMER TO BIKANER (6 HRS), ENROUTE VISIT GAJNER, BIKANER SIGHTSEEING
- After breakfast checkout and proceed to Bikaner. Enroute visit to Gajner lake and wildlife sanctuary. On
arrival check-in to your hotel and rest for a while. Post lunch, later in afternoon proceed for sightseeing
tour of Bikaner. Visit Junagarh Fort & Lalgarh Palace. By late evening after sightseeing return back to
hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Gajner Lake: This artificial lake offers a spectacular sight to travellers. Looming towers located at the
lake entrance make it one of the symbolic places of Bikaner. Once a summer holiday home of the royals,
the lake is now part of a luxury hotel. Boating can be enjoyed in the solar powered boats at the lake.
During winter months, the lake becomes home to more than a hundred species of migratory birds
including the Imperial Sand Grouse.
Junagarh Fort is among the well-known and oldest forts of Rajasthan having magnificent architecture
and deep historical significance. The fort has an array of temples, museums, and palaces within it such
as Karan Mahal, Anup Mahal, Phool Mahal, Chandra Mahal, and many havelis. It was called ‘Chintamani
Durg’ until the early 20th century when the ruling family moved out of the fort limits to Lalgarh Palace.
Since then, it has often been referred to as ‘Old Fort’.
Day 04
BIKANER TO JODHPUR (5 HRS)
- Enjoy a relaxed morning breakfast. Later checkout and proceed for Jodhpur. On reaching, check-in to
your hotel. Evening at leisure or you can visit local markets for shopping authentic Jodhpuri handicrafts.
Some famous markets are Ghanta Ghar (clock tower), Nai Sadak, Sojati Gate, & Mochi Bazaar. Dinner
and overnight at stay at the Hotel.
Day 05
JODHPUR SIGHTSEEING
- After breakfast start for Jodhpur city tour. Covering Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum, Mehrangarh Fort-
situated on a low sandstone hill. Within the fort visit Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant
Thada - an imposing marble cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II around 1899,
Kaylana Lake and Mandore Garden. Evening free for leisure. Dinner & Overnight stay at Jodhpur.
Mehrangarh Fort: Considered as one of the most formidable and magnificent forts of Rajasthan, The
fort is spread over an area of 5 km and is built on 125 m high hill in the outskirts of Jodhpur city. One
can see the panoramic view of the Jodhpur city from this fort, which seems like a blue carpet laid at the
foot of a hill. Within the fort one can see the magnificent palaces. The main palaces located in the
Mehrangarh Fort are Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Zenana Deodi, Takht Vilas and Jhanki
Mahal.
Umaid Bhawan: Umaid Bhawan Palace is a magnificent piece of Rajasthan’s heritage, and a symbol of
new Jodhpur. Home of the erstwhile Jodhpur royal family and currently the world’s sixth-largest private
residence. Perched on Chittar Hill, the highest point in Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan Palace inspires with exotic
views of the historical Blue City, vast sand dunes, and intimidating Mehrangarh Fort. Palace house a well-
presented museum having finest collection from Royal lives of erstwhile Maharajas. Also a vintage car
collection that depicts grandeur of its era.
Day 06
DROP TO JODHPUR AIRPORT
- Post Breakfast, Check-out and Transfer to the airport / station for onwards journey.
