    Why Mahabalipuram for corporate travel

Why corporate programmes keep choosing Mahabalipuram.

    01

    A purpose-built on-beach MICE belt

The ECR south of Chennai is a continuous run of beachfront convention resorts, Radisson Blu, InterContinental, Sheraton, with pillarless ballrooms, breakout floors and the sea a few steps from the plenary. A 400-delegate conference and its beach gala never leave one property.

    02

    UNESCO heritage on the doorstep

The Shore Temple, the Pancha Rathas and Arjuna's Penance, a UNESCO World Heritage ensemble of seventh-century Pallava rock-cut monuments, sit minutes from the resorts, giving the sightseeing day a genuine cultural anchor no beach-only base offers.

    03

    Excellent connectivity, zero friction

Chennai's international airport is a 90-minute drive up the ECR, so a national cohort arrives easily, with no visa, no forex and effortless Indian and Jain catering, a domestic MICE base that behaves like a city hotel with a beach attached.

Corporate conference plenary in a resort ballroom

    Group

    National sales conference

    Format

ECR beachfront conference with a Shore Temple gala

A national sales conference on the ECR, a full-day ballroom plenary and product launch, a Shore Temple heritage morning and a beach-lawn awards gala to close. Tibro handled Chennai airport transfers for a cohort flying in from every metro, ballroom production and Jain and South-Indian menus throughout; the launch and the gala ran back to back without the group leaving the resort.

    A pharmaceutical company

We wanted a beach and a real venue, not a compromise. The ballroom held all four hundred and the Shore Temple gave the gala night a backdrop we couldn't have built.

    FAQ

    Planning Mahabalipuram, answered.

How does a national cohort reach Mahabalipuram?

Everyone flies into Chennai international airport, direct from every Indian metro, and it's a 90-minute branded transfer down the ECR to the resort belt. No visa and no forex; we lock airport transfers against the cohort's flight banks so groups arrive smoothly.

    What trip length works best?

Two to three nights is the standard, a full conference day, a heritage morning and a gala finale. Three to four nights lets you add a Chennai city business block or a Pondicherry extension.

Can you handle Indian and Jain food for the group?

Yes. We arrange Indian, South-Indian, Jain and vegetarian menus at the resorts and gala venues when briefed at proposal stage, the ECR properties cater to large corporate groups as a matter of routine.

    When should we avoid Mahabalipuram?

The May–June coastal heat is intense and the northeast monsoon brings heavy rain October–December. March–April and August–September are the reliable windows; indoor conference formats carry the shoulder weeks regardless.

Can the whole programme run at one property?

Yes, the ECR resorts are built for it. A 400-delegate plenary, the breakouts, the beach team-building and the gala can all run within a single beachfront resort, with the Shore Temple monuments a short drive away for the heritage day.

    Do we get GST-compliant billing?

Yes, corporate billing with GST invoices, a line-item build-up in every proposal, and milestone payment terms agreed before you announce internally.
