Day 02
Zürich – Lausanne Area (B)
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Proceed to Schaffhausen a Swiss town on the upper Rhine River, in a wine-growing area near the German border. Baroque buildings with bay windows and decorated facades dot the medieval old town, dominated by the 16th-century Munot Fortress. A Photostop at The Rhine Falls, a waterfall located in Switzerland and the most powerful waterfall in Europe Later proceed to Geneva and continue with your Non-Guided Orientation City Tour of Geneva. Overnight stay at your hotel in Lausanne area.
Day 03
Lausanne – Täsch – Lausanne (B)
- Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Täsch a town in the district of Visp in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. It is located about 5 km north of Zermatt. Optional: A visit to Zermatt (Swiss Rail), a mountain resort renowned for skiing, climbing and hiking. The town, at an elevation of around 1,600m, lies below the iconic, pyramid-shaped Matterhorn peak. Its main street, Bahnhofstrasse is lined with boutique shops, hotels and restaurants, and also has a lively après-ski scene. While in Zermatt you can also view the famous The Gornergrat a rocky ridge of the Pennine Alps, overlooking the Gorner Glacier south-east of Zermatt in Switzerland. It can be reached from Zermatt by the Gornergrat rack railway, the highest open-air railway in Europe. In the evening return to Lausanne. Overnight stay at your hotel in Lausanne area.
Day 04
Lausanne – Adelboden/Interlaken Area (B)
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out. In 1952, Charlie Chaplin chose to settle at the Manoir de Ban in Corsier-sur-Vevey with his wife and children. In his memory, the famous bronze Charlie Chaplin Statue, was created by the British sculptor John Doubleday, has been sitting on the quays of Vevey since 1982. - Breakfast at the hotel. Today explore the town on your own. Optional: The highlight of every Swiss trip: Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. Surrounded by glaciers and eternal snow. Observation deck with fantastic panorama. Icy air streams across your face, snow crunches under your feet, and the view nearly takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Mittelland up to the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch glacier, bordered by four thousand metre peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 metres above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience. Day 06
Adelboden/Interlaken Area - Zürich (B)
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Drive to the town of Engelberg, day free to explore on own. Optional: Treat yourself to a Mount Titlis tour. If a Mount Titlis tour isn't already on your bucket list, it's time to add it. The Swiss Alps is a dream destination for many people and a Mount Titlis tour combines amazing scenery with a once in a lifetime experience. Day 07
Depart Zürich (B)
