Day 1
Arrive in Oslo
Welcome to the Land of Midnight Sun. Arrive in the capital city of Oslo. After clearing immigration proceed to your hotel by private car. Rest of the day is free for acclimatization. Overnight stay at hotel in Oslo.
Day 2
Oslo City Tour
Breakfast at the hotel. After that proceed for Oslo City Tour. Enjoy a comfortable sightseeing tour by coach, accompanied by a certified Oslo guide who will share insights into the city’s history, culture, and landmarks. The tour includes a guided walking visit to the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the world’s largest sculpture park made by a single artist, showcasing over 200 bronze and granite sculptures created by Gustav Vigeland. During the city tour, you will also pass by some of Oslo’s major highlights such as: - The Royal Palace – the official residence of the Norwegian monarch. - Karl Johans Gate – the city’s main street lined with shops, cafés, and historic buildings. - The Oslo Opera House – a modern architectural gem where you can admire its striking design. - Holmenkollen Ski Jump – an iconic ski arena and symbol of Norway’s skiing traditions. - The Parliament Building and City Hall, where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded. Day 3
Norway in a Nutshell
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, take a short walk from your Oslo hotel to the train station. (Please note: one bag per person – a total of 10 bags – will be automatically transferred from the Oslo hotel to the Bergen hotel, so you can travel comfortably without extra luggage.) Today, embark on an unforgettable rail journey from Oslo to Bergen, featuring the world-famous Flåm Mountain Railway. The scenic train ride includes the remarkable Flåmsbana ‘Corkscrew Railway’ between Myrdal and Flåm, renowned as one of the steepest and most breathtaking train journeys in the world. This segment is not guided but operates smoothly as an independent journey with clear signage and announcements, allowing you to fully enjoy the panoramic views at your own pace. Upon arrival at Bergen train station, a private transfer will be arranged to your city hotel. Spend the evening at leisure, relaxing or exploring Bergen’s charming surroundings on your own. Overnight stay at Bergen hotel.
Day 4
Bergen City Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, set out to explore the fascinating history of Bergen, a city with roots stretching back nearly a thousand years. Begin your guided walking tour with a visit to the Bergenhus Fortress, one of the oldest and best-preserved stone fortresses in Norway, and stroll through its historic grounds. Continue on to the iconic Bryggen Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where colorful wooden buildings tell the story of Bergen’s role as a key trading hub of the Hanseatic League. Accompanied by a knowledgeable and friendly guide, this two-hour walking tour offers rich insights into Bergen’s dramatic and captivating past while bringing its culture and heritage vividly to life. Overnight stay at Bergen Hotel.
Day 5
Bergen – Tromso – Aurora Hunt Photography Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, complete the checkout formalities. A private transfer will take you to Bergen Airport to board your internal flight to Tromsø (flight not included). Upon arrival in Tromsø, meet your driver for a private transfer to your city hotel. In the evening, prepare for a truly magical experience as you set out on an Aurora Hunt Photography Tour. Accompanied by an expert aurora guide, you will drive across scenic landscapes, covering maximum distance to increase the chances of witnessing the Northern Lights. Along the way, the guide will also share valuable tips on how to set up your own camera for night photography, helping you capture the beauty of the Arctic sky. If nature favors us, you may witness the spectacular sight of the aurora dancing gracefully across the night sky. Overnight stay in Tromsø Hotel.
Day 6
Tromso – Fjellheisen Cable Car
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, set out on a shuttle bus ride to the Tromsø Fjellheisen Cable Car station. From here, board the cable car for a spectacular ascent up Mount Storsteinen, located 421 meters above sea level. As you glide upwards, marvel at the ever-expanding views of Tromsø city, the Arctic fjords, and the surrounding snow-capped mountains. At the summit, take time to soak in the breathtaking panorama. A perfect opportunity for photographs and to simply pause and admire the beauty of Northern Norway’s dramatic landscapes. The mountaintop also features a viewing platform and a café where you can relax while overlooking the city and its pristine natural surroundings. After this unforgettable experience, descend by cable car and rejoin the shuttle bus for your return transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Tromso Hotel.
Day 7
Tromso to Rovaniemi
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed for a private transfer to Tromsø Airport to board your internal flight to Rovaniemi (flight not included). Upon arrival at Rovaniemi Airport, you will be met and transferred privately to your cozy cottage accommodation near the Arctic Circle, offering a unique stay amidst the enchanting Lapland surroundings. The rest of the evening is free for you to relax and enjoy leisure time in this magical Arctic setting. Overnight stay in Rovaniemi Hotel.
Day 8
Santa Claus Village Tour With Husky Safari
After having breakfast at the hotel proceed for Santa Claus Village Tour Huskies & Reindeer Visit. Discover the magical Santa Claus Village and come face to face with majestic Arctic animals on a guided trip from Rovaniemi. Seize the incredible chance to meet Santa, then visit fascinating huskies and reindeer and learn all about them from local experts. During the summer and fall, have an exciting time at the husky park and take a husky ride. Overnight stay at hotel in Rovaniemi.
Day 9
Rovaniemi to Kakslautten – Reindeer Safari & Snowmobile
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, complete the checkout formalities and depart on a private transfer to Saariselkä, a picturesque village in Finnish Lapland surrounded by snowy fells and forests. Upon arrival, check in to your unique Small Glass Igloo with a private sauna, offering a magical stay beneath the Arctic sky with the possibility of spotting the Northern Lights right from your bed. In the afternoon, set out on an enchanting Reindeer Safari, where you will glide through the tranquil snowy landscapes while learning about the traditions of the Sámi people and their close connection with reindeer herding. Later in the evening, gear up for an Aurora Snowmobile Expedition. An exciting ride through the Arctic wilderness in search of the mesmerizing Northern Lights dancing across the sky. When to Go
Norway runs on two seasons worth travelling for. June to August brings the midnight sun, the fjords at their greenest and every cog railway and cruise running. The summer peak. Late September to March is the aurora season up north, cold and dark enough for the lights, with December to February the deepest. April-May and October are quiet shoulder months, the fjords thawing or the first snow falling.
