Rice is the staple, and every meal typically begins with steaming mounds of fragrant white rice. Seafood takes center stage along the coastal areas, with dishes like fish curry and crab masala showcasing the region's maritime bounty.
One of the most iconic animals found in Odisha is the Royal Bengal Tiger, inhabiting the Simlipal and Satkosia Tiger Reserves. The state is also home to the Indian elephant, spotted deer, sambar deer, and various species of wild boars, making its forests a treasure trove for wildlife enthusiasts.
- Upon arrival at Bhubaneswar, you will be greeted by us & then will continue to proceed on our journey to Puri. On the way, we will visit through Pipili Appliqué Market and after arrival visit the temple of the universal God, Lord Jagannath. After Darshan, we visit other temples of God & goddesses, the Ananda Bazaar, the vast Kitchen & Koili Baikuntha, and spend the rest of the day at the Golden Beach.
- After a hearty breakfast, proceed to Satapada & enjoy the motorboat ride in the largest British water lagoon in Asia and explore the rare Irrawaddy dolphins & local birds (at your own cost). Later on the way back to Puri enjoy your drive through Chandrabhaga Beach and Ramchandi temple. On arrival visit the Sun Temple & Interpretation Center at Konark where you might witness the light & sound show at Konark (subject to weather).
- After an early breakfast, start your day by going to Niladri Beach & Blue Flag Beach and later proceed to Gopalpur, en route visit Mangalajodi - the bird’s Paradise of Asia. Experience the country boat ride and explore bird sightings up close or visit Kalijai Temple and Kalijai Island from Barkul end of Chilika Lagoon & later proceed to Gopalpur-on-sea.
- Morning leisure at the Virgin Beach Resort of Gopalpur-on-sea. Later proceed to Bhubaneswar. On arrival, visit Khandagiri & Udayagiri Jain Caves and Jain temple & later visit the local market for shopping and stay overnight in Bhubaneshwar.
- After breakfast visit the ancient temples like Lingaraj-the biggest temple in Bhubaneswar (non-Hindu are not allowed inside the temple premises), Mukteswar, Rajarani & 64 Yogini temples. Later in the day visit Dhauli Buddhist Shanti Stupa, Tribal Museum / Kala Bhoomi-a craft museum (both close on Mondays & Govt. Holidays).
- After breakfast, if time permits, visit Nandankanan Zoological Park popular for White Tigers (closed on Monday) & at last in-time transfer to airport / railway station for the onward journey.
