Day 01 ARRIVE AT CHANDIGARH & PROCEED TO SHIMLA
  • Upon arrival at Chandigarh Airport, we drive to Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. This beautiful hill resort was the erstwhile summer capital of the British. It is one of the top tourist destinations in India owing to its mild climate, meandering streets and snow-clad mountains. Often referred to as the 'Queen of Hill Stations’, Shimla is perched at a height of around 2000 meters above sea level. Besides its natural beauty, what attracts hordes of tourists to this place is the opportunity to indulge in various adventure activities, such as trekking, mountaineering, and skiing. Once you reach Shimla, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and take some rest. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 SHIMLA TO SANGLA
  • Drive to Sangla through the thick woods of Kufri, Fagu and Narkanda and alongside the River Sutlej to arrive in the evening and check in to hotel. Enjoy the evening in beautiful surroundings in the river valley of Baspa at a height of 9000ft. This is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Himalayas and is often compared to the famous valley of Kashmir. Known for its rich Kinnauri culture and apple orchards, this valley was opened for tourists only in 1993 for its close proximity to the Tibetian border. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 SANGLA- CHHITKUL- SANGLA
  • After breakfast, explore the vicinity around including an ancient Kamru Fort & Temple dedicated to the Goddess Kamakhya Devi which was brought from Assam. Post Lunch, excursion to Chitkul – a last Village on Old Indo – Tibetan Trade Route. Walk through green orchards & brilliant stream. Return back to Sangla. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 SANGLA-KALPA
  • After breakfast, check-out from the Hotel & drive to Kalpa, located just 10KM upwards of Reckong Peo – District Headquarter of Kinnaur & once a favourite haunt of Lord Dalhousie. Arrive Kalpa & Check-in to your Hotel. Kalpa is famous for its majestic views of mount Kinner Kailash, Apples & Chilgoza Plantations [a kind of Dry Fruits], which are found only in Iran & Turkey besides here. The tree belongs to the Pine Family & the fruit is in about an inch long soft cover. Visit to Narayan Nagini Temple Complex, which has Shrines of Hindu, Buddhist & local Deities. further visit to Buddhist Gompa – Hu Bu Lan Kar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 KALPA – NAKO - TABO
  • Nako has a beautiful lake which freezes in the winter and villagers play ice hockey during this period and seeing the temple of Padamsam bhava, the second incarnation of lord Buddha who made Buddhism popular in the Trans Himalayas. The day has a surprise where a visit to the village of 5oo years old mummy makes your journey and exciting. Later drive to tabo. Overnight Stay.
Day 06 TABO – DHANKAR MONASTRY – KAZA
  • After breakfast journey starts to witness the Ajanta of Himalayas the Tabo monastery. Tabo has the oldest caves on barren mountains and Thanka paintings, one of the most precious paintings of Buddhism. Later visit Dhankar Monastery and drive to Kaza, the administrative Headquarters of Spiti Valley. Overnight Stay at Kaza.
Day 07 KAZA, EXCURSION TO SPITI VILLAGES
  • After breakfast a drive to the highest motorable roads to village Langza, and enroute visiting the Komik and Hikim village. Hikkim village has a post office situated at an elevation of 4,400 m (14,400 ft) and this post office is one of the highest post offices in the world. One of the most famous landmarks of Komic village in Spiti valley is the iconic sign board by the public works department, which describes Komic as the “Highest village in world connected with motorable road”. By evening back to base at Kaza.
Day 08 KAZA LOCAL – KUMZUM LA – PASS – CHANDRATAL
  • After breakfast checkout and proceed for visit to Kee monastery and Kibber village at an altitude of 4205M. After that drive towards Chandratal via Kunzum Pass, KunzumLa Pass which is 4590 M, is highest pass on Spiti Lahaul Road. Rudyard Kipling said of the region “Surely the God live here this no place for Men”. O/N Hotel at Chandratal. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09 CHANDARTAL- ATAL TUNNEL - MANALI
  • Morning visit Chandratal: The lake got its name because of its crescent shape. It is believed, Chandratal was discovered by traders who came to the region from Tibet or Ladakh. After an arduous journey, the traders used to rest near the lake before resuming their journey to Kullu or Spiti. The sweet water lake is around 2.5 km wide. It is the source of Chandra River which merges with Bhaga River to form Chandrabhaga River and later assumes the identity of Chenab. The lake can be visited only during the three summer months. For the rest of the season, the lake remains cut off and frozen. Later continue your journey to Manali via Atal Tunnel: Atal Tunnel also known as Rohtang Tunnel is a highway tunnel built under the Rohtang Pass on the Leh – Manali Highway in Himachal Pradesh at a length of 9.02 km, it is the longest highway single-tube tunnel above 10,000 feet (3,048 m) in the world when completed. The tunnel reduces the travel time and overall distance between Manali and Keylong on the way to Leh, bypassing the RohtangLa which used to remain inaccessible during winters. The tunnel is at an elevation of 3,100 metres whereas the Rohtang Pass is at an elevation of 3,978 metres. On arrival in Manali check-in to hotel, and catch some rest towards this last leg to journey. You may like to stroll through market late evening for some shopping to take memoirs from this Himalayan journey back home. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10 MANALI TO CHANDIGARH DROP
  • After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Chandigarh. Drop at Chandigarh Airport/Railway Station.
  • Accommodation on twin / double sharing Basis as per the package selected.
  • Daily Breakfast and Dinner in the comfort of the Hotel
