Day 1
Welcome to Italy - Rome
Arrive at Rome International Airport. Enjoy evening at leisure or explore the city of Rome on your own. Overnight stay at hotel in Rome. Rome is the capital city of Italy. It is also the capital of the Lazio region, the centre of the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, and a special comune named Comune di Roma Capitale.
Day 2
Rome Hop on Hop Off Tour
After having breakfast at the hotel. Explore the Eternal City from a hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus with your 1 Day, 24, 48, or 72-hour ticket. Travel past the city's icons, leave the bus at any of the eight stops, and hop back on the next bus when you want to continue. Stay flexible while seeing all the amazing sights in Rome. Legend tells of Romulus and Remus and the 7 hills of Rome. Today the city is home to one of the world's largest churches, the Basilica di San Pietro of the Vatican, approached through a marvelous elliptical piazza. Day 3
Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and Basilica Tour
After breakfast at the hotel. Discover the Vatican Museums on this guided tour with skip-the-line guaranteed. Visit St. Peter's Basilica and marvel at the works of Michelangelo and Bernini. Begin your guided walking tour at the Vatican Museums, with their immense collection built by the Popes throughout the centuries, and discover one of the world's most remarkable art collections. See the Pio Clementino Hall, the Laocoon and Apollo Belvedere. Marvel at works by ancient cartographers in the Gallery of Maps and wander the Candelabra Gallery and the Gallery of Tapestries to see Flemish works by pupils of Raphael. Rome to Pompeii, Amalfi Coast, and Sorrento Day Trip
After having breakfast at the hotel. Embark on a journey from Rome to the captivating wonders of Pompeii, Sorrento, and the enchanting Amalfi Coast on this guided day trip. Hop on a comfortable coach at a centrally-located meeting point in Rome and admire the country side on the way to Pompeii. Delve into the evocative ruins hidden beneath the ash of Mount Vesuvius on the included tour of Pompeii. Learn about this well-preserved site with the help of your archeologist guide. Rome to Zurich
After having breakfast at the hotel. Proceed from Rome to Zurich by an internal flight. Check in at the hotel. Relax for the day. Overnight stay at hotel in Zurich.
Day 8
Lindt Chocolate Factory
After having breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to visit Lindt Chocolate factory Museum. Visit the interactive Lindt Home of Chocolate Museum in Kilchberg with pickup and drop-off from Zurich. Discover the exhibitions with an audio-guided tour of the museum which is built next to the historic Lindt & Sprüngli factory. Overnight stay at hotel in Zurich.
Day 9
Rhinefalls Tour
After breakfast at the hotel. Proceed for excursion to Rheinfalls. Admire Europe's largest waterfall from a unique perspective aboard a 15-minute thrilling boat ride. Set sail from the harbor and steer directly into the left fall where you will experience the power of the thundering water masses up close. After your first wild ride, relax and take in breathtaking views of the waterfall before passing under the right fall. Witness breathtaking rock formations then head back to land, passing through the left fall again for one last adventure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Zurich.

Zurich – Day Trip to Mt. Jungfraujoch With Eiger Express
After breakfast at the hotel. Proceed for day trip excursion to Mt. Jungfraujoch with eiger express. Enjoy a 3-hour visit to Jungfraujoch, with enough time to explore the Eismeer (Sea of Ice), Alpine Sensations, the Sphinx, Jungfraujoch Plateau, Ice Palace. Overnight stay at Hotel in Rome.

Order an aperitivo, stand at the bar (it costs less than sitting), and watch a town do what it has done every evening for centuries.
Coperto and the bill
Most restaurants add a per-head cover charge, the coperto, usually two to four euros. For the bread and the table. It's normal, not a scam, and tipping on top is not expected the way it is at home; round up if the service was warm. Cappuccino after eleven in the morning will mark you as a tourist, but no one will stop you.

When to Go
The Italian windows are spring and early autumn, April to June, then September and October. When the cities are warm but walkable, the light is long, and the August crowds have gone. July and August are hot, expensive, and half-shuttered: Italians take their own holidays then, and many city restaurants close while the coast and lakes fill. November to March is cool and quiet, good for the museums and the food but short on daylight.
