Day 1
Arrive Baku
Arrive at Heydar Aliyev International Airport and welcome to Baku, the Land of Fire. After transferring to your hotel and check in, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant on your own. In the evening, proceed to visit Highland Park, where you'll find the Alley of Martyrs, the National Assembly (Milli Majlis), and the stunning Flame Towers, the tallest skyscrapers in Baku. After your tour, savour dinner at a local eatery before returning to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Baku.
Day 2
Flames + Baku City Tour
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, start your Flames tour. Your first stop is Ateshgah (Fire Worshippers Temple), a historical site used for Hindu and Zoroastrian worship, with Persian and Indian inscriptions. The word "Atash" means "fire" in Persian. Next, head to Yanardag, or "Blazing Mountain," located about 25 km north of Baku on the Absheron Peninsula. Here, you'll witness natural gas flames dancing on the hillside, creating a mesmerizing display of fire that has burned continuously for centuries. Explore Baku's most ancient part, surrounded by well-preserved walls. As of 2007, the Old City had a population of about 3,000 people. In December 2000, it became the first location in Azerbaijan to be classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, including highlights like the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and the Maiden Tower. After a relaxing walk, enjoy lunch at a local café before continuing your tour with a visit to the Heydar Aliyev Center in the afternoon. This remarkable 57,500 m² building, designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, is renowned for its distinctive flowing architecture. Don’t forget to capture some photos outside! Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight stay at hotel in Baku.
Day 3
Gabala Tour
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, depart for Gabala, located 225 km northwest of Baku, around 8 AM. The journey will take approximately 5 hours. Upon arrival, embark on your tour, starting with Tufandag Winter-Summer Tourism Complex, where you can enjoy cable car rides and various skiing activities, along with dining options at cafes and restaurants. Around noon, break for lunch at one of the local eateries before continuing your excursion to Nohur Lake. Nestled in the beautiful Qabala region, this stunning lake is a bit off the main path but offers breathtaking views as you venture deeper into the mountains. Take a scenic detour to discover the captivating beauty of Nohur Lake, nestled in the picturesque region of Qabala. While not directly on the main route, a short journey into the mountains unveils the breathtaking vista of Nohur Lake, offering a serene and idyllic setting amidst nature's splendor. Overnight stay at hotel in Gabala.
Day 4
Sheki Tour
After having breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Sheki which is 2 hrs drive from Gabala. Sheki Khan's Palace, built in the 18th century, is a stunning example of Persian, Turkish, and Azerbaijani architecture. Known for its intricate wooden carvings, colorful stained glass windows, and beautiful frescoes depicting daily life and mythology. Once served as a summer residence for the Sheki Khans, showcasing their opulent lifestyle. Have a local lunch at a restaurant on your own. Afterwards proceed to see The Sheki Caravanserai, built in the 18th century, served as a resting place for Silk Road travelers. Showcases traditional Azerbaijani architecture and offers insight into the region's history as a trade hub. Proceed back to Gabala. Overnight stay at your hotel in Gabala.
Day 5
Gobustan Tour
After having breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel and proceed for Gobustan Tour. Gobustan, located approximately 64 kilometers southwest of Baku, Azerbaijan, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient rock art and archaeological significance. Dating back over 40,000 years, the site features thousands of petroglyphs carved into the rock faces, depicting scenes of daily life, hunting, dancing, and ritualistic ceremonies of prehistoric societies. Additionally, Gobustan is home to mud volcanoes, unique geological formations that add to its allure. Visitors to Gobustan can explore the open-air museum, learn about Azerbaijan's rich history and culture, and marvel at the fascinating rock carvings that offer insight into the lives of early human civilizations in the region. Proceed back to baku and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at your hotel in Baku.
Day 6
Shahdag Tour
Breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards proceed to Shahdag which is drive of 3 to 4 hours from Baku. Shahdag is a mountainous region located in the northeastern part of Azerbaijan, near the town of Gusar. It is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, rugged landscapes, and diverse recreational opportunities. Shahdag Mountain Resort, located in the Gusar region of Azerbaijan, is a premier destination nestled amidst the breathtaking Caucasus Mountains. Offering year-round outdoor activities, the resort caters to both winter and summer enthusiasts. In winter, visitors can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and other snow-related sports on the resort's well-groomed slopes. During the summer months, the mountains transform into a playground for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and other outdoor adventures. (CABLE CAR INCLUDED) Proceed back to baku. Overnight stay at your hotel in Baku.
Day 7
Departure
After enjoying a delightful breakfast at your hotel, it will be time to check out. With hearts full of unforgettable memories from your incredible time in Baku, you'll head to the airport for your flight back home. Indian passport holders get the ASAN e-visa online in three working days. Straightforward. The catch is older: if your passport carries an Armenian stamp, expect hard questions at Baku immigration. Azerbaijan and Armenia are not on speaking terms, so don't try to combine the two on one trip unless your operator has routed it carefully.

Plan Your Timing
When to Go
Baku sits on a windy spit in the Caspian, and its weather is milder than the latitude suggests. The sweet spots are spring, April to June, when the Absheron is green and the Caspian breeze is soft, and autumn, September to October, warm and dry. July and August are hot and humid in the city, though Shahdag and the Caucasus stay cool. Winter is grey and wet at sea level but it's the season for the snow resorts up north.
