Russia is two capitals before it is one country. Moscow for the Kremlin and the Red Square, St Petersburg for the Hermitage and the Neva. Three days in each, the Sapsan train between them. Best between May and September. Note: routing complexities depend on current travel advisories.

on how we work.
Tibro has been routing Russia since 2019. Six years of Moscow-Petersburg week pairs and the occasional Trans-Siberian two-week journey.
We work with on-ground coordinators in both capitals. One Moscow, one St Petersburg. And we hold rooms at three properties in each city year-round.
Two routes is what we currently maintain. The Moscow-and-Petersburg seven-night is the most-requested; we route Moscow first because arriving at the Hermitage on day five feels like the trip's destination, not its opening.

Moscow & St Petersburg, seven nights, June 2024
Three Moscow, three Petersburg, Sapsan in between. The Red Square evening at the blue hour on day two was the trip's first photograph. The Hermitage morning the studio routed at nine sharp had us in the Jordan Staircase almost alone. The white-night drawbridges on day six were the surprise we did not know to ask for.

Four Moscow, four Petersburg. The Bolshoi tickets the studio held for us on day three were a Tibro arrangement we had not asked for and would never have managed ourselves. The Peterhof morning was the trip's second photograph.
